Is Therapy Worth the Money?
Therapy is an investment in yourself and/or your relationship. If you haven’t been able to improve your situation on your own, it’s probably time to work with a professional. The good news is that the goal of therapy is to not need therapy. It’s relatively short term. But it can make a huge impact on your long term. How much is your increased well being worth over the next five, ten or twenty years? How much is a happy marriage worth to you?
Couples sessions are 90 minutes, every other week. If both partners are motivated, and invest time and energy into working on the relationship outside of the sessions, you can expect to see significant change in three to four months. Couples then drop down to monthly appointments, until they are ready to end counseling. Sometimes couple schedule a “tune-up” to stay on track, or for help with a challenging problem. Couples counseling ins $350 per session, private pay only.
Individual sessions are 55 minutes. Because I carry a small caseload, I only add a few clients a year. I will add you to my waitlist, and contact you when I have an opening. At that time, we can set up a free consultation to working together. Individual therapy is $175 per session, private pay or out-of-network only.
I understand that choosing a therapist is a big decision. Feeling comfortable with your therapist is the best predictor of successful therapy. I offer a complimentary, no-obligation thirty minute consultation to clients who are interested in working together. By the end of the consultation, we will know if we are a good “fit,” and would like to together.
I accept payment by credit card. A card on file is required for services.
If you are unable to attend a session, please make sure you cancel at least 48 hours beforehand. Otherwise, you will be charged for the full rate of the session.
